Spring Teasing..

This is my peach tree, it is in full buds.  It is four years old  and it is old enough to put out peaches. Each year the freeze kills all the blooms, and we have not had any peaches.  We are waiting to see what this month and next month will do to it.  Maybe, we will get some peaches this year!?

Climbing rose bush is leaving out, everything is so confused.

Near 90 degrees in the greenhouse today.

I have really enjoyed slipping out to the green house this past winter.
A great place to sit and enjoy the warmth, and sunshine on cold winter days.

I have been taking advance of these beautiful spring days.
I am painting my rocking chairs and swing today. Giving my front porch a fresh new look.

This year I am going to have to replace my pillows for the porch.
After three years using the same pillows, they are in need of replacing.

So, a new look for the front porch this spring...Yay, I am kind of excited about that.

As much as I love springtime, in my heart I am saying this can't be good.  Spring temps in the winter?
Could this mean winter in the spring? Or very severe storms with tornadoes treats?

Simply remembering that
"This is the day that the Lord has made,
I will rejoice and be glad in it"

What have you been doing?  Are you having early spring like weather in your area?

Hugs, from the farmhouse.

  1. Yep, basically no winter here. Chilly days, and cold nights (sometimes). I think it froze twice this season, and both times at night? Crazy town, even for southeast Georgia!

  2. It has certainly been a strange winter. We've only used the snow shovel once! It will be in the 60's until Friday and then it will drop enough that there is a threat of severe weather. We could see some flurries Saturday morning. Crazy! I can see some of the trees leafing out at the top. Makes me wonder if we are in for a hot summer. I hope not!

    1. You all have had your share of snow this year, but it has been beautiful. I am excited to give the porch a fresh new look...I try to make things last as long as I can. We use the phrase make do with what you have often here.
Have a warm day up there.

  4. We are new to this area, but so far, it has been back and forth. We had 8 inches of snow the week after we moved in, but no more since. We love all the weather changes, as we moved from Florida, where it's basically 9 months of summer, 2 weeks of winter and a few months of in-between.
Don't borrow trouble, just see what Mother Nature has in mind! Love your greenhouse!

    1. I understand, we use to live in FL for ten years. We move back to our home state, enjoying the four seasons for the last 23 yrs. Thank you it was a gift for Mothers Day last year. Have a wonderful evening.

  5. It really has been weird weather. My hubs and I were talking about how we wonder if there will damage if it freezes or cools off real low. I'm enjoying it but I am hoping for us not to have tree damage or super scorching summer.
