Dear Mom,

Keep on loving, keep on praying, keeping on teaching, keep on caring, keep on being that godly mom.   The world needs more mom's like you.

You may feel like you aren't making the difference in your children life or  you may feel no one notice the time you have put into your family.  GOD knows! Your reward will be great in heaven so, keep on being that godly mom.  In everything that you do, do it for the glory of God.

Finding a best friend.

Have you ever wanted a best-friend?

Recently, a young lady from our church spoke to me about how she has always wanted a best friend.   She's feels like there is no one like that in her life. Even thou she has a few close friends that's in her youth group.

I simply told her you will find her. However, 'God has placed these friends in your life'.
'Too many times while we are seeking for that perfect friend, we are missing
out on the ones that God's placed in our paths'.

Don't forget to develop your friendship with the friends that are in your life right now.'
Think on ways that you could become that friend that you always wanted in your life.

I know her friends and she has good Christian friends from good families.
(Important to know their friends, when encouraging them in this area).

After sharing this with her, she said "I've never thought about it like that." She left with a
new outlook on her situation.

This is true in our marriages as well.

Many ladies seek for years to find that special friend they could go to lunch with or chat over coffee. They find themselves getting down because they haven't found a best friend.

Only to realize that they failed to develop their friendship with their husband.

If you are someone who has a close friend and your husband is your best friend you are blessed.

Too many times we spend years wishing for a best friend when all along he's been there all the time.

We've just failed to develop and deepen that relationship with him. It's never to late to begin!   Maybe, that's who God had for you all along.

Making Our Hearts An Habitat

In each of us we have a soul, a heart and a mind.
Each of these becomes a dwelling place for things we put into our daily lives.

The word habitat means a place where things live and grow. In order for each of us to make our hearts an habitat for the Lord.  We must empty out, so He can fill us with His Spirit.

The more we empty out of our minds, out of our time, out of our thoughts, we are creating room for Him.   He can not dwell where there is no room for Him to fill.   Remember when Joseph and Mary came to the Inn and there was NO room in the Inn, why? It was filled to capacity.

This is what Christ is saying to us today.  I long to be with you, to dwell in you, to live there and to grow, but there is no room for me.

Search me, oh Lord, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: Ps 139:23

Maybe, in our life, we spend more time on our cell phone or the internet than we should.  Maybe we fill our time with pleasurable books or our home and life is so cluttered with things that we find ourselves overwhelmed by spending so much time trying to keep up with it all.

Let us make room in our hearts for Christ.
Allow Him crowd out the things that consume us.

Purposely, create an habitat for Christ.

Blessed are they which hunger and thirst after His righteousness:
for they shall be filled.  Matthew 5:6

A Heart fully devoted for Christ.

For Every Season

Quietness fills my early morning. The whiteness of clouds called dew kisses the grass.
Sweet praises begin to ring out from many birds who have their little chest
puffed out worshiping their Creator.

The wonder of it all and the beauty is in the stillness.

Summer mornings quickly pass by, and then slowly fade away.
Fall gently replaces summer with the coolness of each new morning.
These mornings on the porch will be a moment in time.
Fall days of brilliant colors push their way through. While winter
awaits in the balance for his turn, to kiss the ground with snow.
A time to slow down and be still in Him.

These are the moments in time; simply take time to see the wonder.

No matter our age we anticipate the next season of our lives....
Are we ready to rush into the next season?
I should think not.

When we rush to the next season of our lives,
we will miss out on what God has for us this season.
Live life in the moment for this moment is all you have.

In this moment, in this season allow God to work in your life, guide and teach you.
He wants to prepare you with strength for what may come.

Those new seasons will come, and when they do
you will be ready to embrace whatever they may bring to you.

Autumn
Winter
Spring
Summer
These seasons are what a symphony ought to be:
four perfect movements in harmony with each other;
each season in Him prepares each of us for the next.

In Each of Our Days

I was thinking on the Proverbs 31 woman today in my devotion. While meditating on this chapter, I thought "Lord how are we to become this woman? She did so much and was so godly in her ways."   A quiet thought came to my heart, "It's over a life time walking with Me."

This is so true, this chapter was describing who she was and who she became. It happened over her life time, because each day she made decisions that lead her to become this woman.  A woman that grew into grace and beauty with her Lord.  She became known as this woman as she faithfully applied all these virtues into her daily life.

For each of us there is a work that the Lord has for us. We couldn't handle it if He was to give it to us today. However, over the course of time He molds us and makes us into a vessel worthy to use for His honor and for His glory.

With every decision we make today, it determines our destiny for tomorrow.  With each word we speak, each thought we think, will chart our course. Simply surrendering our lives to God and finding ourselves faithful in our devotion, will strengthen us on our daily journey.  So, simply make that step forward towards the this amazing journey of becoming this women of Proverbs 31.

Worship In Our Daily Lives

Over many trials and errors, I have learned that I was to serve the Lord in all areas of my life and that I was to serve Him with gladness even when I was cleaning my home or cooking meals.  He desires all the praise and all the glory in my every day life.

What is true worship in our daily lives? It is through our conduct, living a pure and holy life before Him, it is how we treat each other, and it is through the words we say. It is teaching our children of Him, and it is when we take the time to pray and read. It's when we give to God and others. When we sing praises.  It is in our daily lives that we should give God the glory and praise. This worship is the highest worship until God.

Serving and pleasing God in this wonderful ministry that He has called each of us to do.

I would love to hear from you.

God's Design For You

God has a beautiful design for the home. God's intention for marriage and having children is that His Word and teaching is passed to the next generation. Marriage is a part of God's Redemption plan.

God's design for you as a young women is to love your husband, love your children,  love your home, having self control (discreet or being sensible),  keeping yourself pure to be a keeper of the home, to be kind, and to be submissive to your own husband.

Titus 2:4-5 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5. To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.   Discreet means self-control and Chaste means pure.

The home is a woman's calling and it is to be her witness to the world.  Ladies, it is our most high and holy calling to be a godly wife and mother.

The home is our ministry, seek not after something else, but embrace the ministry right in front of you, the family and the home God has blessed you with.

He is counting on you to shape the next generation. Leading them to Christ, and passing on God's redemption plan.

Be inspired!

Reflection

Today, I thought about how far God has brought me....I looked back over my life how I use to be.

Thank God, I am not that person anymore.  The Lord has been working on my heart and my hubby heart over the last eight years.  What a change He has made in our lives.

I can honestly say I am still very far from perfect.  I am still allowing, and wanting God to work on my heart even more.

Another reflection in our life is that we need to stop trying to please others, weather it be family or friends or church folks.. There is no happiness in that.  We realized if you are not careful, you can be so busy trying to please others, that you forget to please GOD and your immediate family.  We are making God, each other and our two little girls our priority!!

What a change He has made and still is making in our lives.

Has God done a great work in your life? What are some changes you are making?

Believe in yourself!

You can do what God has plan for you!
Sweet friends just put prayer in it.

Put your heart in it.
You have more in you then you think.

If you feel like you can't keep going.
You can!

I believe in you.
But even more GOD believes in you.

He knows
He cares
He hears your heart cry.
He understands.

What you do ~ does matter.

Take care of yourself.
Slow down and rest in HIM.

There is someone you can lean on.
He is with you!
He is right there when it looks like hope is lost.
Keep holding on He is there.

God is only a prayer away.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Hotel dishes by Walker China Co.  Made in Bedford Ohio 1930-45

It is easy for us to compare ourselves, our life with others.  maybe it is making each of us to walk away feeling a little less then we are. Instead of comparing maybe we could seek to be inspired. each of us has a routine, or a way about us that appeals to others.  find your way, your routine, your journey and fulfilled it with all of your heart.

A simple change in our ways could bring down the walls of competition between each other. becoming one who seeks to be inspired by others, or one who inspires.  Finding the courage to let your heart embrace simply what you have been blessed with; your home, your family.  Inspired by simply being you.

Hello Friends,

I love early mornings, the peace, the quietness, the newness of God mercies he gives to us each day...it makes early mornings my favorite time of the day.  I don't know about you, but I need His mercies and love each day.   I love my time in His word, my time to talk with Him. I need Him!

I have never been one to feel the need of keeping a daily planner. I mainly do what ever I see that needs to be done.  Maybe, it is because I keep my life simple, but meaningful.  I say no to the busyness of life; I am simply at home where I love to be.

I am inspired by those who keep a daily planner of their time and life.  Being inspired, I have given it some thought about using a daily planner. Maybe it would help me to use my time better and more wisely.  I know it would, but here it is the 27th of January and I have yet to find the time to even start a daily planner. Crazy huh!

And that is okay, I am good with that.  I keep up with a monthly calendar for church events and a to do list.   To me that's enough and I am content.  It's great to be inspired, and even give it a try.  But most of all it's okay to accept that it isn't for you.

Be inspired!

A Little Place

      A Little Place

"Where shall I work today, dear Lord?"
And my love flowed warm and free.
He answered and said, "See that little place?

Tend that place for me."

I answered and said, "oh no, not there!
No one would ever see. No matter how well
my work was done, Not that place for me!"

His voice, when He spoke, was soft and kind, He answered me tenderly,
"Little one, search that heart of thine,
Are you working for them or Me?
