Words.  Little do people realize is how powerful words are.  Words can heal or destroy the other person.  I have never understood why others need to be "in the know"  of people's business?  It saddens me when I hear a person who wants to know the latest of others.  Using words like I'm concerned or I was just wanting to know so I can pray for them.  Seriously?!  Oh how we need to check our hearts and motives to be in the know.

Beware of those who can't wait to tell you what someone has said about you.  Words are spoken oh so carelessly in each day of our lives.  Words can't be taken back, the damage is done.

Christ tells us in His perfect Word how we are to pray for one another.  It's hard to talk bad about someone when we are praying for them.  Chances are God will change us first.

When we commit our lives to Christ, even our words to Him, and we allow Him to purge our hearts and our words; we will find a heart that is fully surrendered to the Master's use. Will this stop the talking, gossiping or tale-bearing in others?  No, but it will keep our lives pleasing to the Lord.  God hates gossip, tale-bearing and telling things that aren't true.

I think of Mary (Martha's sister), each time you read about her she was always at the feet of Jesus. We read where Martha talked and complained about Mary how she wasn't helping.  Christ said "But Mary, has chosen the good part."  This is where we need to stay at the feet of Jesus giving our words into prayer and praise.

Am I perfect in my words, I wish I could say "yes"  uh no, I am not perfect. But I do try very hard to watch what I say and put a guard over my month as we are instructed to do in the book of Psalms.

Psalms 141:3
Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

We cannot keep others from speaking words that hurt or tear down; but we can stay on our knees and ask God to help us not to be that way.  We must help our prayers out by keeping a guard on our words.  Also, stay away from the ones who constantly are destroying and gossiping about others with their words.

The Lord intends for us to build up others not tear them down.  To pray for others and to love one another.  Often times it is jealousy that promotes others to talk about someone.  Recently my girls and I were sitting in a restaurant and the young ladies sitting behind us were running down a girl that wasn't present in their company, quiet loudly.  I felt sorry for the young lady they were talking about.  I thought of moving to another booth, but they soon left.  I was so thankful! My girls got to hear how ugly it is to talk about someone. My goodness, why do we say the things we say?

Ephesians 4:29 - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers

The true mark of a Christian is one who has the compassion of Christ in their hearts.  One who loves everyone and sees others like Christ's sees them , with eyes full of love and really to forgive.  Can we become this way, Oh yes, a thousand time yes. 😊

When we all stand before the throne of God on Judgement day and all that matters is did we please Him?  Were our sins covered by His blood? Did we stay at His feet, surrendered, committed, living by His word? Did we build up others and lead others to Christ?

Matthew 12:36 - But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Psalms 19:14 - Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

☕Thank you so much for stopping by, thank you for listening to my heart on this subject.

I want to be found speaking good, what about you?

Making Our Hearts An Habitat

In each of us we have a soul, a heart and a mind.
Each of these becomes a dwelling place for things we put into our daily lives.

The word habitat means a place where things live and grow. In order for each of us to make our hearts an habitat for the Lord.  We must empty out, so He can fill us with His Spirit.

The more we empty out of our minds, out of our time, out of our thoughts, we are creating room for Him.   He can not dwell where there is no room for Him to fill.   Remember when Joseph and Mary came to the Inn and there was NO room in the Inn, why? It was filled to capacity.

This is what Christ is saying to us today.  I long to be with you, to dwell in you, to live there and to grow, but there is no room for me.

Maybe, in your life, you spend to much time on your cell phone or the internet.  Maybe you fill your time with pleasurable books or your home and life is so cluttered with things that you find yourself overwhelmed by spending so much time trying to keep up with it all.

Search me, oh Lord, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: Ps 139:23

Let us allow Christ to crowd out the things that consume us.

Blessed are they which hunger and thirst after His righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Matthew 5:6

Quietness fills my early morning. The whiteness of clouds called dew kisses the grass.
Sweet praises begin to ring out from many birds who have their little chest
puffed out worshiping their Creator.

"There is nothing more beautiful than nature early in the morning."

Just me resting in the midst of this beautiful quiet, cool morning.
Gently swaying in the porch swing with puffy pillows cozily surrounding me.
My bare-feet resting on a soft area rug while I slip on hot cocoa.

This day, this beautiful, quite morning is before me.
The wonder of it all and the beauty is in the stillness.
A wonderful hush is all around; here is where I find my peace.
Here is where I breathe deep.

Summer mornings quickly pass by, and then slowly fade away.
Fall gently replaces summer with the coolness of each new morning.
These mornings on the porch will be a moment in time.
Fall days of brilliant colors push their way through. While winter
awaits in the balance for his turn, to kiss the ground with snow.
A time to slow down and be still in Him.

These are the moments in time; simply take time to see the wonder.

No matter our age we anticipate the next season of our lives....
Are we ready to rush into the next season?
I should think not.

When we rush to the next season of our lives,
we will miss out on what God has for us this season.
Live life in the moment for this moment is all you have.

In this moment, in this season allow God to work in your life, guide and teach you.
He wants to prepare you with strength for what may come.

Those new seasons will come, and when they do
you will be ready to embrace whatever they may bring to you.

These seasons are what a symphony ought to be:
four perfect movements in harmony with each other;
each season in Him prepares each of us for the next.

Each day....

My heart was thinking upon the Proverbs 31 woman today, and I have some good news; she didn't become this woman overnight!  It happened over her life time, because each day she made decisions that lead her to become this woman.  With every decision we make today, it determines our destiny for tomorrow.  With each word we speak, each thought we think, will chart our course.  So, simply make that step forward towards the this amazing women of Proverbs 31.

Worship In Our Daily Lives

Over many trials and errors, I have learned that I was to serve the Lord in all areas of my life and that I was to serve Him with gladness even when I was cleaning my home or cooking meals.  He desires all the praise and all the glory in my every day life.

What is true worship in our daily lives? It is through our conduct, living a pure and holy life before Him, it is how we treat each other, and it is through the words we say. It is teaching our children of Him, and it is when we take the time to pray and read. It's when we give to God and others. When we sing praises.  It is in our daily lives that we should give God the glory and praise. This worship is the highest worship until God.

Serving and pleasing God in this wonderful ministry that He has called each of us to do.

I would love to hear from you.

God's Design For You

God has a beautiful design for the home. God's intention for marriage and having children is that His Word and teaching is passed to the next generation. Marriage is a part of God's Redemption plan.

God's design for you as a young women is to love your husband, love your children,  love your home, having self control (discreet or being sensible),  keeping yourself pure to be a keeper of the home, to be kind, and to be submissive to your own husband.

Titus 2:4-5 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5. To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.   Discreet means self-control and Chaste means pure.

The home is a woman's calling and it is to be her witness to the world.  Ladies, it is our most high and holy calling to be a godly wife and mother.

The home is our ministry, seek not after something else, but embrace the ministry right in front of you, the family and the home God has blessed you with.

He is counting on you to shape the next generation. Leading them to Christ, and passing on God's redemption plan.

Be inspired!

Today, I thought about how far God has brought me....I looked back over my life how I use to be.

Thank God, I am not that person anymore.  The Lord has been working on my heart and my hubby heart over the last eight years.  What a change He has made in our lives.

I can honestly say I am still very far from perfect.  I am still allowing, and wanting God to work on my heart even more.

Another reflection in our life is that we need to stop trying to please others, weather it be family or friends or church folks.. There is no happiness in that.  We realized if you are not careful, you can be so busy trying to please others, that you forget to please GOD and your immediate family.  We are making God, each other and our two little girls our priority!!

What a change He has made and still is making in our lives.

Has God done a great work in your life? What are some changes you are making?

Believe in yourself!

You can do what God has plan for you!
Sweet friends just put prayer in it.
Put your heart in it.
You have more in you then you think.

Just a little encouragement
to send your way.
If you feel like you can't keep going.
You can!

I believe in you.
But even more GOD believes in you.

He knows
He cares
He hears your heart cry.

What you do ~ does matter.
Take care of yourself.
Slow down and rest in HIM.

What ever your going through.
God is only a prayer away.

Hotel dishes by Walker China Co.  Made in Bedford Ohio 1945

it is easy for us to compare ourselves, our life with others.  maybe it is making each of us to walk away feeling a little less then we are.  instead of comparing maybe we could seek to be inspired. each of us has a routine, or a way about us that appeals to others.  find your way, your routine, your journey and fulfilled it with all of your heart.

a simple change in our ways could bring down the walls of competition between each other. becoming one who seeks to be inspired by others, or one who inspires.  finding the courage to let your heart embrace simply what you have been blessed with; your home, your family.  inspired by simply being you.            (capitalization was left out intentionally,:)

Hello Friends,

I love early mornings, the peace, the quietness, the newness of God mercies he gives to us each makes early mornings my favorite time of the day.  I don't know about you, but I need His mercies and love each day.   I love my time in His word, my time to talk with Him. I need Him!

I have never been one to feel the need of keeping a daily planner. I mainly do what ever I see that needs to be done.  Maybe, it is because I keep my life simple, but meaningful.  I say no to the busyness of life; I am simply at home where I love to be.

I am inspired by those who keep a daily planner of their time and life.  Being inspired, I have given it some thought about using a daily planner. Maybe it would help me to use my time better and more wisely.  I know it would, but here it is the 27th of January and I have yet to find the time to even start a daily planner. Crazy huh!

And that is okay, I am good with that.  I keep up with a monthly calendar for church events and a to do list.   To me that's enough and I am content.  It's great to be inspired, and even give it a try.  But most of all it's okay to accept that it isn't for you.

Be inspired!

A day in the life of simply farmhouse.

(Prov 31:28) Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he PRAISETH  her.
Do we give our husband a reason to praise us??

A place to enjoy ~ when it rains.

Anybody notice that August has become a memory?  Crickets, cornfields are turning brown and the sounds of crows are in a distance.  Summer is fading and fall is pressing his way in.

Hello  friends,

My heart is full of gratefulness as hints of fall touch our little farmhouse this week.   Made by little hands of our little La la, to me it is the best fall decoration ever made.

Pouring her little heart in each thing she does....Oh how we love this little girl.

Music fills the house from Doodle. She puts her whole heart into her playing.
She is learning many Gospel songs that bless our hearts when she plays.
Oh how we love our young lady.

Books, pillows, blankets and more books with words of encouragement.
Books that inspire , books that remind me to trust in Him and Him alone.

Toss pillows and blankets, here is where we live.

Books that were written from the 1800's and beyond.
Books that fill our shelves.

I sit at this familiar place writing to you.

My thoughts reflect over this past year...I can honestly say "I'm grateful".

That the Lord thought I was worth saving, so He came and change my life.
He thought I was worth keeping.  So He cleaned me up inside.
He thought I was worth dying for....He sacrificed His Life.
So I could go free....

I am so grateful!
