Early

Quietness fills my early morning. The whiteness of clouds called dew kisses the grass.
Sweet praises begin to ring out from many birds who have their little chest
puffed out worshiping their Creator.

Just me resting in the midst of this beautiful quiet, cool morning.
Gently swaying in the porch swing with puffy pillows cozily surrounding me.
My bare-feet resting on a soft area rug while I slip on hot cocoa.

This day, this beautiful, quite morning is before me.
The wonder of it all and the beauty is in the stillness.
A wonderful hush is all around; here is where I find my peace.
Here is where I breathe deep.

Summer mornings quickly pass by, and then slowly fade away.
Fall gently replaces summer with the coolness of each new morning.
These mornings on the porch will be a moment in time.
Fall days of brilliant colors push their way through. While winter
awaits in the balance for his turn, to kiss the ground with snow.
A time to slow down and be still in Him.

These are the moments in time; simply take time to see the wonder.

No matter our age we anticipate the next season of our lives....
Are we ready to rush into the next season?
I should think not.

When we rush to the next season of our lives,
we will miss out on what God has for us this season.
Live life in the moment for this moment is all you have.

In this moment, in this season allow God to work in your life, guide and teach you.
He wants to prepare you with strength for what may come.

Those new seasons will come, and when they do
you will be ready to embrace whatever they may bring to you.

Autumn
Winter
Spring
Summer
These seasons are what a symphony ought to be:
four perfect movements in harmony with each other;
each season in Him prepares each of us for the next.

A Better Tomorrow

A young wife noticed that her neighbor  and their children would be about their chores very early each morning.  Goodness what is the matter with me. It seems like each day I struggle just to get out of bed each morning, I know I should be up early enough to fix my husband breakfast before he leaves." was the thoughts of this young wife. Daily this young wife dreaded getting up, and starting her daily task of keeping house and preparing meals.

Finally, this young wife couldn't go another day feeling like a failure at keeping house and preparing meals that didn't turn out great.  She decided this day to seek for advice from an older Christian wife whom she had met while visiting her farm to purchase fresh eggs.

Ms. Gray was busy tending her garden, her clothes were neatly hanging on the clothes line all in order and all the colors matched as the wind gently blew them.  The young wife could smell lunch was cooking through an open window.   Ms. Gray wore a apron to protect her clothes, while she was gathering vegetables from the garden to be canned. The little ones where on the front porch playing with kittens.

As she approached Ms. Gray in the garden, she spoke to her and asked "Do you have a minute to talk?"  Ms. Gray smile and said " Hello, it is so good to see you again, Is everything alright my dear?"  The young wife replied, "Yes, I was just wondering how do you keep your home so beautiful and your clothes out to dry before eight o'clock? "  "Isn't that lunch I smell coming through your kitchen window"? she added sweetly.

Ms. Gray arose from kneeling in the garden smile at the young wife, she invited the young wife to come into her kitchen to talk over a glass of lemonade.  Upon entering the house it was just as the young wife expected, beautiful flowers arranged in a vase on the table,  and wonderful smelling food was awaiting in a crock pot for lunch along with homemade bread, and pies were cooling on the counter-top.

Ms Gray watched the young wife gaze around her kitchen.  "Your home is so clean, I feel like a failure as a wife." stated the young wife as she took a sip of the lemonade.

Ms. Gray joined her at the table and said, " I used to be where you are today; I compared myself to others and could not keep up with them". she said sympathetically.  "It wasn't until I took it all to the Lord in prayer, and He showed me that I was doing it for the wrong reason.  That wrong reason made me feel like one miserable wife so much that I dreaded being home."

The young wife carefully listened as Ms. Gray continued.  "I found myself going into town or finding some where to go rather than to be at home attending to what I was blessed with.  My poor husband suffered from it greatly no breakfast in the morning, and supper was something I just tossed at him". she admitted sadly.

Ms. Gray looked out across the fields through the window and confessed,  "I learned one day on my knees that I was to please God and Him alone." The young wife listened as tears ran down her face.

Ms Gray refilled our lemonades as she continued sharing her heart, "I had learned that I was to serve the Lord in all areas of my life and that I was to serve Him with gladness even when I was cleaning my home or cooking meals.  He desires all the praise and all the glory in my every day life.   After many trips in prayer,  I soon learned how to care for my home and husband with a humble and joyful heart while serving my home for God."

The young wife left the little farmhouse feeling a load of guilt coming off her shoulders. That evening her home was glowing with candles and a song of praise was upon her heart.  She finally gave it all to the Lord and trusted that He would show her how to serve Him in her daily task with a joyful heart.

What is true worship in our daily lives? It is through our conduct, living a pure and holy life before Him, it is how we treat each other, and it is through the words we say. It is teaching our children of Him and it is when we take the time to pray and read. Its when we give to God and others. When we sing praises.  It is in our daily lives that we should give God the glory and praise. This worship is the highest worship until God.

Serving and pleasing God in this wonderful ministry that He has called each of us to do.

As I thought about writing on how to be a good wife. I wondered how could I share my heart with you wonderful ladies, I decided to write it out in a short story form. I hope you have enjoyed it. Be encourage ladies no matter your age.

I would love to hear from you.

God's Design For You

God has a beautiful design for the home. God's intention for marriage and having children is that His Word and teaching is passed to the next generation. Marriage is a part of God's Redemption plan.

God's design for you as a young women is to love your husband, love your children,  love your home, having self control (discreet or being sensible),  keeping yourself pure to be a keeper of the home, to be kind, and to be submissive to your own husband.

Titus 2:4-5 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5. To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.   Discreet means self-control and Chaste means pure.

The home is a woman's calling and it is to be her witness to the world.  Ladies, it is our most high and holy calling to be a godly wife and mother.

The home is our ministry, seek not after something else, but embrace the ministry right in front of you, the family and the home God has blessed you with.

He is counting on you to shape the next generation. Leading them to Christ, and passing on God's redemption plan.

Be inspired!

Reflection

Today, I thought about how far God has brought me....I looked back over my life how I use to be.

Thank God, I am not that person anymore.  The Lord has been working on my heart and my hubby heart over the last eight years.  What a change He has made in our lives.

I can honestly say I am still very far from perfect.  I am still allowing, and wanting God to work on my heart even more.

Another reflection in our life is that we need to stop trying to please others, weather it be family or friends or church folks.. There is no happiness in that.  We realized if you are not careful, you can be so busy trying to please others, that you forget to please GOD and your immediate family.  We are making God, each other and our two little girls our priority!!

What a change He has made and still is making in our lives.

Has God done a great work in your life? What are some changes you are making?

Believe in yourself!

You can do what God has plan for you!
Sweet friends just put prayer in it.
Put your heart in it.
You have more in you then you think.

Just a little encouragement
to send your way.
If you feel like you can't keep going.
You can!

I believe in you.
But even more GOD believes in you.

He knows
He cares
He hears your heart cry.

What you do ~ does matter.
Take care of yourself.
Slow down and rest in HIM.

What ever your going through.
God is only a prayer away.

Grateful!

A place to enjoy ~ when it rains.

Anybody notice that August has become a memory?  Crickets, cornfields are turning brown and the sounds of crows are in a distance.  Summer is fading and fall is pressing his way in.

Hello  friends,

My heart is full of gratefulness as hints of fall touch our little farmhouse this week.   Made by little hands of our little La la, to me it is the best fall decoration ever made.

Pouring her little heart in each thing she does....Oh how we love this little girl.

Music fills the house from Doodle. She puts her whole heart into her playing.
She is learning many Gospel songs that bless our hearts when she plays.
Oh how we love our young lady.

Books, pillows, blankets and more books with words of encouragement.
Books that inspire , books that remind me to trust in Him and Him alone.

Toss pillows and blankets, here is where we live.

Books that were written from the 1800's and beyond.
Books that fill our shelves.

I sit at this familiar place writing to you.

My thoughts reflect over this past year...I can honestly say "I'm grateful".

That the Lord thought I was worth saving, so He came and change my life.
He thought I was worth keeping.  So He cleaned me up inside.
He thought I was worth dying for....He sacrificed His Life.
So I could go free....

I am so grateful!

Anybody?

A Little Place

      A Little Place

"Where shall I work today, dear Lord?"
And my love flowed warm and free.
He answered and said, "See that little place?

Tend that place for me."

I answered and said, "oh no, not there!
No one would ever see. No matter how well
my work was done, Not that place for me!"

His voice, when He spoke, was soft and kind, He answered me tenderly,
"Little one, search that heart of thine,
Are you working for them or Me?
