Creating A Space

At Home

Hey you guys, I wanted to stop in for a minute and share with you about creating in your home.

I love to study the Bible , draw, water paint, read books and time alone with my Lord.  I have always wanted to create a space in my home just for me to do the things I love. I used to have my desk in the laundry room, but it was more isolated than I wanted it to be. There is nothing cozy about a laundry room. Anybody?

I decided to move the desk into my bedroom placing it in front of the window and adding a real plant (the palm) and a diffuser.  This creates an oasis space during the evening and a cheery, sunny place in the daytime. Oh my goodness! I love my new space.

When working towards purging,
and organizing your home.
Do not forget to create areas
in your home making it a place you will love.

Keep your home full of love for one another, find ways to quieten your home and life.

  1. Oh Teresa, what a terrific idea! I have done the same here in the cottage. I took just a wall in my dining room and a corner in my living room...one for sewing, the other for spinning yarns and knitting. It is wonderful to give yourself a little space to create :)

  2. Great idea! I think being isolated too much takes away from your creative thinking...it does for me. :)

  3. This is a great space, especially with the light coming in. I've often thought of having my own space to write, and mostly, be surrounded by all of my personal things--books, letters, journals. Now, if I could find the room!

    1. Thank you, you should find yourself a place to enjoy the things you love. We are limited in our home with space, but I squeezed it in :) Life is short do what your love.

  4. I like the space! Our room has always been a source of constant strain for me. It is always cluttered and I am so tired of the clutter so I will work on it soon. My goal for winter is to get through all of my photos and do something with them to eliminate some of that clutter!
