Cabin Fever

Spring of 2016

Today was a very pretty day here on our little five acres farm. The sun was very warm and the high today was 60 degrees and the best part was there was no wind.

The girls and I pick up things in the yard to burn on the fire pit.. We put things away in the barn and then we took a walk back to the creek and woods.   The birds in the woods had their spring song going on.  The creek water made a soothing sound as it flowed over the creek rocks.

It felt wonderful to be outside and to work in the yard!  With six weeks until spring,  I hope we will see more days like today while we wait.

Do you have Cabin fever?

  1. Here in SE Georgia, not really! lol
Today was a shorts wearing day, and it's been that way most of this fall and winter.
Well, winter really, b/c fall here is always hot. It just cools off a bit at night. :)

I don't think we've had freezing weather during the day at all this winter. At night?
Maybe a few times?? Still, on the 'cold' days, we do stay inside. Us 'Southrun'ers' can't
take the cold, you know! (supposed to be around 54 Saturday, brrrr, lol)

    1. Ha-ha yes, the ones in the south can't relate. My girls who live in southern GA said it has been in the upper 70's that they really haven't had any colder weather this winter. LOL me either I can't take the cold.

  3. It's hard for me to imagine green grass, and 60 degrees. Our high here today was 18 degrees, and our low tonight will be hovering around 0. We have a snowstorm supposed to come in with a foot of snow this weekend. But my new little pup and I have been taking lots of walks outside, so not really any cabin fever here. :)

    1. That was an old photo :) But we do have the green grass, our field is brown right now. It is starting to green up and we have a few dandelions in our yard. A foot of snow of my...bless your heart. We have had a very mild winter. Just one inch of snow all winter so far.

    1. Hi Stacy, I have been missing you on here. I love those warm days, we have been getting them more often then not.
We are very well, staying home a lot to avoid the flu that is going around. How are you all? I can't wait for spring but I guess I have to... rats

  5. Mostly I am doing good but once and a while I can get a little cabin fever too. This weekend the weather has been in the 30's which is really warm to us and we have been loving it.

    1. That's good, this year we have had very mild temps. from the upper upper 40's to the upper 60's. I have been enjoying my greenhouse. I just came in from the greenhouse were the temperature was 82 degrees in there. So, sunny and warm it was hard to pull myself away.
